Privacy Policy
Any Chills? is an app for making short-notice hangouts with friends. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to get rid of it. It applies to the iOS app and related services we run.
Who this is for
link is for people who already know each other. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
What we collect
- Account. Email address if you sign in with email, or the identifiers Apple or Google send us if you use those buttons. You also choose a display name, username, and optional profile photo.
- Hangouts. What you write (title, notes), the friends or groups you invite, optional place name, day, time, and how many spots you set. Friends who are invited or who join can see the hangout. Exact place and time stay hidden from invitees until they join.
- Friends and groups. Friend requests, invite links you create, and groups you make so you can invite a roster together.
- Notifications. A push token for your device, and your choices about which push categories are on. In-app activity is stored so you can see invites and updates later.
- Place search. If you search for a spot while creating a hangout, that query is sent to Google Places so we can show suggestions.
- Usage events. Which screens and features get used (for example, "created a plan" or "picked an idea"), tied to your account, so we can tell what is working. These stay in our own database; nothing goes to an analytics company.
- Bug reports. If you send one, we store what you wrote, any screenshot you attach, the screen you were on, and your app version and device model.
- Waitlist. If you join the waitlist on our website, we store your email and the city you picked, and use them only to invite you to the app. Email us to be removed.
What stays on your phone
If you add a hangout to your calendar, that event is written on the device. We do not upload your calendar. Photos you pick for a profile picture are uploaded as your avatar.
Who can see what
There is no public directory. Other people can find you by the exact username you chose, or with a one-use invite link you share. Profile details are visible to you, accepted friends, and people on a hangout with you. Avatars are stored at a public URL so friend photos can load in the app.
Services we use
We host accounts and app data with Supabase. Sign-in can go through Apple or Google. Push delivery uses Expo and Apple’s notification service. Place suggestions use Google Places. We do not use a third-party analytics or advertising SDK.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and hangout history while the account exists. Hangouts expire in the product after a short window, but records of past hangouts remain until you delete your account. Friend invite links expire after seven days if unused.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Account). That removes your profile, friends, hangouts you hosted, and related data we store. It cannot unsend a hangout someone already saw, and it cannot remove an event already on another person’s calendar.
